Spitalul Județean de Urgență Miercurea-Ciuc se confruntă cu o criză de personal în secția de oftalmologie

Secția de oftalmologie a Spitalului Județean de Urgență (SJU) din Miercurea-Ciuc se află în mijlocul unei crize de personal medical care durează de peste șase luni, ceea ce a condus la suspendarea liniei de gardă. În prezent, activitatea secției este asigurată de doar trei medici, dintre care unul ocupă funcția de medic șef. Un medic specialist se află în concediu de creștere a copilului, iar altul este în concediu fără plată.

Conform informațiilor oferite de spital, medicul șef efectuează internări, consultații în ambulatoriu și gestionează urgențele medicale zilnic, între orele 08:00 și 15:00. Un alt medic primar realizează proceduri chirurgicale pe baza unui contract de prestări servicii medicale. Deși urgențele sunt tratate în timpul zilei, linia de gardă nu poate fi menținută din cauza deficitului de personal medical.

Cazurile de urgență sunt primite la secția de oftalmologie doar între orele menționate, iar în afara acestui interval, acestea sunt gestionate de Unitatea de Primiri Urgente (UPU) a spitalului. În situații critice, personalul de la oftalmologie este detașat la UPU-SMURD, iar cazurile severe sunt transferate către spitalele din Sfântu Gheorghe sau Odorheiu Secuiesc.

În ciuda eforturilor de a organiza concursuri pentru angajarea unui medic specialist oftalmolog, rezultatele nu au fost deocamdată favorabile, neavând succes în atragerea de personal. Managerul spitalului a prezentat recent medicilor rezidenți din oftalmologie oportunitățile de formare oferite de unitatea sanitară, iar unii dintre ei și-au manifestat interesul de a efectua module de rezidențiat la SJU Miercurea-Ciuc.

Un medic rezident a exprimat dorința de a continua activitatea ca specialist, iar un alt medic specialist a fost interesat de posibilitatea de a colabora cu spitalul. Reprezentanții SJU Miercurea-Ciuc au transmis că rămân optimiști că situația se va îmbunătăți și că linia de gardă va fi reluată în secția de oftalmologie.
